Support Services

If you want to have a specially developed Temperature Controlled Packaging Solution, we can do this for you at our UK facility in Leighton Buzzard, where we have the SCA Cool Logistics Technical Solutions Centre. This is a 6,500 sq ft facility, dedicated to the design, development and qualification of temperature controlled shipping solutions. The Technical Solutions Centre houses our Technical Team and 19 environmental control chambers.

We can develop Qualification Protocols which will be of an acceptable standard to the various regulatory bodies worldwide. SCA Cool Logistics have a high level of experience in Ambient Profile Development. We are continually involved in and conducting temperature studies across the globe, using networks of established courier companies. The collected data has enabled us to create a comprehensive database of ambient temperature profiles. Having this data means that we can knowledgeably consult with you about the temperatures to which your product is likely to be exposed to during shipment.

SCA Cool Logistics can provide you with 3D assembly drawings with written instructions or animations, showing the packing procedure. These will be useful to you when writing SOP’s and training staff. This information can be supplied in multilingual format and with your part numbers as required.

At the implementation stage, SCA Cool Logistics can identify the best supply chain for you. This might be local storage and supply from one of the 128 SCA sites around Europe, or delivery direct from one of our manufacturing facilities. We are able to supply pharma and biotech companies directly to their manufacturing facilities or CRO’s running clinical trials, where deliveries are needed at many trial centres. Also available are the NanoCool systems which have no CoolPacs to freeze or chill and no complicated packing procedure. These are ideal for return logistics from small trial sites to the lab.

We also supply places such as Singapore, South America and South Africa. Some of these sites are manufacturing locally and others are product depots. The support of SCA means there are few places we cannot reach! If you have a requirement for packaging in these, areas please let us know.
